Automatic Zonation and Correlation of Well Logs for a Tectono-Sedimentary Interpretation in the Continental Siliciclastic Basin of Duero River (Iberian Peninsula)

Abstract A procedure to automatically correlate well logs measured in boreholes that are located continental siliciclastic basins by using two different methods is shown. The first method applied the parametric layers were determined each borehole starting from values of their geophysical parameters and consists correlating, cross-association, columns formed these layers. second cross-correlating stretches or units, which established as sets with similar characteristics sufficiently average adjacent stretches. evaluation correlation results requires showing criteria used for determining obtained logs, result called segmentation this study.
